60... 80 Souls

60... 80 souls,
Corpses claimed by politicians' muses,
60... 80... servicemen, fighting the devil, in Syria.
Felled by weapons of western cherubs,
By 4 flying angelic aerial sets.

Truce, they said, truce, they bet.
60... 80... souls now lost.
Angels killed them from above their heads.
60... 80... scores of men,
They say an 'error of targeting' bombarded them dead.

Black Dog! Suicide! What is ur .. Insanity .. I ask .. ?

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Darkness! You call it! It takes you!
Again! The Black Dog!
The Bitter Omen! In your hope!

I look at you! Lying there!
Bed all messed!
Mattress out!
No! They said you had no sheets!
Just ..
The mattress!
Nothing else!
In your flat!

You taught me once!
Afrikaans!
But now you are gone ..
And they whisper how!
They said you did it!
Money or the Black Dog!

And then the garage owner!
Before you!
And that other man I knew!

And another and another!
What Is Your Insanity!
What stopped your heart?

Stopped so many hearts!

And you are the Black Dog!

It did Bark! It ought not Bark!

Falling bombs - on Tripoli

Poem by Marc Aupiais

OH! The men of war!
OH! The handsome murderers!
How them we adore;
Parade like heroes;
These KILLERS of women and children;

Indeed; the Ape-Men of Libya;
Sent to pillage and rape;
To kill the villagers;
To throw them off the plateau;
Unto rocks and bamboo piles;

And yet;
Even then;
Were the children spared;
Women not murdered;
Babies not slaughtered;

Though ape men then;
Only warriors; not worriers killed;

And above does the falcon stream;
And below does the gunship patrol;

As again and again;
Suspicious for nationality; killed;

For America bombed Tripoli;
And Tripoli are people;
Not war-men!

As elections start to approach;

Again ... Does Nagasaki sound!

Poem of desolation

Poem by Marc Aupiais

I think of you:

Nation; death!

I think often of you,
I imagine a spark,
Or something more!
I look for weakness!

I serve Carthage against Rome!

I wait for weakness!
Opportunity to revenge!

Black steel netting,
Weaved with black deadly cobra snakes!

I wonder at our enemy!

And I hope for some weakness!
And rejoice as it hurts!

I learn of my enemy!
I wait and await!

Comeuppance!
A word!

And I wonder at my enemy!
And watch her enemies rise!
With glee!
With hope!

Though I still catch myself!
Its only now dislike!
Its only now dislike!

Ground war!

Poem by Marc Aupiais

How, you abuse, you always have!
You act as good, but bad you are!
In your crusade!
For the greater goods!

And we The BRICS!
We fight your lies!
We ask, dear why!

And if you want to save civilians!
Why bomb them in Tripoli,
And refuse any peace treaty!

And where were the planes,
Now helicopter gunships?

And what of war?
do you hide the Underground!

And fight to kill the free,
The dictatorship of false democracy?

Death of an enemy!?

Poem by Marc Aupiais

It confounds me, my hatred!
It perplexes, me!

The joy at your death!
As I watch the end of your last breath!

Perhaps on a tv set!

And I hope,
Should the death count rise?
And the evil enemy of your people,
I cry when they die!
Because they were killing you!

And I look at you!
Propaganda people!

And I image: in my mind:
Your flag burning!
Your capital on fire!
Nuclear holocaust!

Oh! Such joy!

I wonder!
The death of an enemy!
Even of an unborn child?

Your manners, your evil ways, of death!

Surely!
I rejoice should you die?

Yet!
Though the news says I should,
And the views call you monsters!
I think of one of you,
Just of one!

And I'm glad!
I never burnt your flag!

And I was not the martyr!
The television set subtly praised!

Propaganda people!
Pitiable force for goods!

Likely you will destroy us all!
But I cannot hate!
Whatever the tv and world does slate!

Devil's own land

Poem by Marc Aupiais

I'd been labelled.
I'd been accused,
Tried, convicted.
Neo-Liberal- the class accused.

When I defended the wizards,
And said they had human rights too.

She'd spoken of a trial,
How she watched them confess.
She never mentioned the burning,
Though we all knew it implied.

And here I was.
Driving north.
Deathly black clouds.
Mythic mists.
Death by night.

A strange feeling.
Elephants. Hyenas. At night!

And though I argued.
For their lives.
Those accused of witchcraft.
Those murdered lives.

In the Northern Country,
I wondered at the lies.

Devil's own land.
And people less civilised.
They'd kill me as easily as their witches.
I told myself,
As I hoped to drive past.

And seeing a hyena.
Right by our car.

I swear he was calling.
His mistress. It's time.

And though I left Up North,
Where the massacres still occur.

Women and their babies,
Children young and old.
Soaked in gasoline.
The child forced to set mother alight.
The child killed also,
As with possession,
With house.

The "New South Africa"
They wanted.
Where witches never survive.

I drive quietly by.
And pray I never here do
Roll fate's dice.
For here, one rolls the die.

And though I'm white,
Not black,
Man, not woman.

Not witch.
Just the God forsaken
"Little White Dog"
Enemy to be quickly shot.

Yet I wonder at our nation.
And the unaccountable lives.

Everyone ~ loves ~ Them

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Everyone a~dores..
Why shouldn't you too...
why shouldn't you three, why shouldn't you more...

Everyone adores...

Yet no God...

And you've abandoned me...
Siren who tricked my soul...

Everyone a doors,
Close me out of you..

Who am I love,
Poorly humble me!!!!!

Unfortunate- not cowardly- tragic, not worthy of cowards

Poem by Marc Aupiais

A church attacked,
Priest killed,
And grenades,
Suicide bombs,

As America's ghost forces,
Supposedly withdrawn,
Says Agence France,
Were present!

And drove Al Qaeda Islamic State, Iraq-
From the alter of God!

No negotiations,
With those who attack stock exchange,
Then Syrian Catholic Church,
No Negotiations,
With those itching for a fight.

Suicide is cowardice-
But a martyr,
However deluded,
Blowing themself up for a cause!

Is far from a coward!

Lacking sure,
In sanity!

But heck of a brave!
Monsters! They are!

In search of dust

Poem by Marc Aupiais

In search of dust,
Tragedy!
Not dusk or dawn,
No sun for months,
And months,
And months.

The world a damp space,
The world Chilean!
For but a moment!

And into the light of day,
And out of the spotlight of,
Global fame.

Seeking dust,
They found it!

Goodbye to Chilean fame!

The cost of life

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Mommy thought me old enough,
To walk 15 metres from the car,
To the bistro alone,
For that treat,

I objected but walked,
Maybe 10 or 14.

And there he was shaking in the sun,
Covered in a liquid one may call blood,

Hands behind his back,
Handcuffed, as the police did stuff to his shaking form.

He'd tried to raid the bistro,
The grown man.
Clearly lost it,
Desires quite full.

Lying in the parking lot,
By the pavement!

As the police increased the pool of his blood.

I walked past and bought,
My treat.

Soon the bistro,
Would be sold,
And close,
And the nearby butcher also left,
As did we.

Its sometimes hard to drive,
To the shops alone.

And when I see people,
Being assaulted by security or police,
I never stop or interfere.

A true South African- the test of what makes us us!

Poem by Marc Aupiais

What makes a South African,
It isn't blood or birth,
Then we'd be accidental,
No people, no hope!

What makes us us is suffering,
Is crime, death, disease-
Universal truth!

Is deception, is helplessness,
Determination to live,
Where others have not!

What makes us South African,
Our allegiance to our own life,
And eyes and eyes, and lives,
Tainted with harm!

Is that we suffer, and die,
And live our lives,
And paradoxly endure endearing to life!
For our nation's sins!
And our world's last hopes!

Another crime? Another time?

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Bono isn't a sexual organ,
Bono of U2- no not you, or you or you!

Millions he raises for them poor-
News studio journalists, who need gift basket bribes!

Political campaign,
Publicity!

New York Post,
Who'd that be!

Millions spend on political campaigns-

A few measly 100 000 for the poor?

Your every dream come true!

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Really blessed, blessed you!
Your every dream, now come true?
Perhaps beauty has no price!
No care for souls, lined up for death and eternal ruin!

Perhaps you are a perfect girl!
But shall I always be here,
Perfect girl!

For me- every day a fight to survive!

For you, any whim,
Who'd care!

Anything you want my dear!

A world await!
You next dear lie!

But I may lie dead!
Murdered or killed,

Before you wake up in the morning! Baby girl!
All as you dream my love!

God don't bless America and ain't no place else

Poem by Marc Aupiais

God don't bless America,
They've had blessing reigns enough!

Don't bless their sinful guise,
Their money and lies!

God don't bless America,
God let them Go Broke!
Stop them "aiding" the rest of us,
In arrogance abundant,
Though lack of much!

God don't bless America,
Save our children from that tyra-nasaur

Turn their blessings on them,
Give them crime, suicide and maternal deaths,
Teach them to hurt themselves with painful lives!

And when they do,
As the will,
Wish to reproduce!

Tell them their children aren't welcome in our world!

God condemn America-
An Unborn Prayer,

The words wrongly translated,
From the illiterate,
Aborted dreams,
Who Arrogant, revoltable America gives so much AIDS!

Blessed Mary of Australia

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Excommunicated, Miss Mary was!
Joan of arc de'ja' vu!
Kicked out for upsetting the wrong,
The evil Pharisees who closed Heaven's gates,

She had the man,
Jesus,
And exposed an evil priest,
Sex abuse:
Every institution,
Yet what response?

Excommunicated saint she was!
Conscience first!
Justice first!
And love of the weakest of all the weak!

Something society forgot-
Then and now;
Protection, government, money and politicals!

And the poor then as now-
While help is spoken,
Shown, photographed!

Die in droves!
Excommunicated saint!

Will you leave the bone alone, United now in folly

Poem by Marc Aupiais

The fools, who predicted doom,
Upon the emperor of our world!
As he visited the nation,
Which did quite simply,
Reject him, and his God!

Yet he impressed them who pursued his doom,
He tricked those who wanted his gloom!

And the nation without God embarrassed themselves!
Unable to imperial-condemn
The servant of the One
True God!

If only our own "bishops"
Said the same,
They said,
What a message,
Even if we hate his living guts?

All you could say as he forced a retreat,
United Kingdom,
United in sins,

Yet the British people,
They liked Mr Benedict XVI Pope!

And United it is,
Soon to be annexed by Rome!

The blue minibus taxi

Poem by Marc Aupiais

A blue minibus taxi,
A blue overly-packed poor souls transport,
And a man.

He fought the driver,
Verbally-

Just out of range...
Suddenly stopped taxi.

A shambok,
A long cane stick,

Yet the aguer out of the taxi driver's reach,

We reversed.
We waited,

I wanted to photograph the number plate!
A shambok and loud words,
Then a gun.

Its the gun the police arrested him for,
Our statements weren't enough for the rest!

Heroes all, even the cowardly 9/11 11/9

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Only a date they say,
Not World Trade Center Attack,
American Tragedy, Selfishly Guarded.

Guarded even from their own,
And any real sense of reality.

Heroes all,
The Bishop did say,
Heroes those who died,
What, because they died?

These cowards who leapt to their deaths,
Who likely knew not at all their fate,
For fear,
Stupidity and weary tears?

Heroes:
Corporate Tycoons,
And conductors of theft?
Waiters, and everyday people of men?

Heroes all,

But don't be bigoted,
9 years on, let's not be phobic!

9 years on,
Many weren't alive,
Nostalgia,
The past-time, of bishop,
And the American state,
Of the Affairs of their women and their men!

Heroes all, because they died,
And those who gave their lives for Allah?
Cowards- who went to their death as much?
As worthy of death, as some they killed?

"Heroes" all: Americans spent!

Death she stands as clear as day- as America did call 911

Poem by Marc Aupiais

A tragedy, a travesty!
Madmen on a jumbo plain!
An elephantine terror,
A Byzantine night!

America would go to war!
Innocents, lose life!

American blood,
American lives-

All their nation stands for
Now and today!

Al Qaeda-
With 911- they dialled
The corrupted world police!

Revenge and sin-
The American way.

Qur'ans to be burnt,
Or is it Korans.

Lives they remember,
From the Firepower hazard,
World trade center!

An immoral nation,
A tragedy!

Today we remember those who died,
Of America's death wars,
Avenging American-American lives!
