Katrina and the Catholic bishop and university who betrayed God and faith

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Dear Bishop said-
"We're burying Katrina"
After the hurricane's funeral-
Something the church denied many a human being-
For one does not honour the damned in that way.

Yet many put hands in an empty coffin-
Leaving letters to the wind.

Ridiculous mockery-
A pagan mourning!
An inanimate wind!

And here comes Obama-
The Saviour of the world-
Who died for it to live-
Wait- no he didn't!

Yet the Bishop puts politics before Christ!
The local university will host the Nation's President!
Their God!

Despite regulations and morality saying they should not!
And the Bishop- while not present!
Refused to be drawn in!
Like police who won't come to a murder!
What is a dear infant to him?

Or the fate of moral men-
Crushed under his God Obama's feet!

And Obama used the opportunity for politics-
And to lie- about the blood of oil-
Which he poisoned the gulf with!
The burning and cleaning-
Which will destroy for years to come!

What is God?
To the archbishop's God!

For the true God made funerals for men,
Universities for truth!
And bishops to defend the weakest of men!

Bow down bishop-
To your God and Leader-
Obama!

Worship him-
You sorry man!

For we are nothing to you-
The inhabitants of God!
Nor is the memory of men much!
A funeral for Katrina-
Not a memorial of individuals!

When you die-
Your funeral will bring shame!

You deserve it denied as much as Katrina-
Sacrilege is your name!

Yet you'll be buried with honour!
Like the many bishops who've betrayed my God!

Whose actions make long lines of innocents into hell!
And turn the word of God into shame!

I will pray not for your forgiveness,
But for your ruin!

For the mercy of God!
On the servants you've damned!

Trivial things- dear bishops care for

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Trivial things- over which diplomats fight,
It seems too be the things for bishops- rights!

Affairs of state are affairs of church!
Far be it to focus on morality!

No- politics,
Yes- those few deaths-
And rights hardly affected-
And that that the -bad- educators' board.
Who were so -unwise-

It isn't their place to speak of life-
They hardly care for moral lights-
Could they spot the Vatican on a map?

Yet wage action-
Their voice is loud-

All these rights that people have-
Allowances of state not God!

Yet the bishops speak and solidly rebuke!

"Any Catholic"- any faithful Catholic would not none the less-
Shall the unfaithful swine hear your voice?

Foxy Wilfred Napier?

So the bishops moan,
And decry as though to hell-

Not the heretic of old-
But the poverty stricken-
Desperate donkey-
Who dares cut off a hospital in Today!

2 candidates- change hits Australia

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Two- they say were odd-
He said he was underdog-

Classical Australian-
Vulgar mouth-
Straight talker-
Climate change- what is that he asks!
Mad monk Abbott-
Former seminarian-
Christian in politics-
No Christian Politician is he-
In darkest Greyest Australian desert scene!

Gillard- who'd waste money for votes-
Raise taxes for what would she-
The atheist Cohabitation practitioner-
Who believes marriage a special mint in the Wisdom of Oz!

One would waste money-
The other hold back too much!
Australia is in debt!
The parliament is hung!

Hung like a flag-
Prisoners to the people!

Labour got Rudd of the past!
Perhaps too early-
Too soon-
But he would have lost the election!
Said it not the polls?

Mad Monk Abbott!
Gillard- the woman atheist who practiced did she-
Cohabitation- shall she now again now!

Two choices!
Two Australias!

And now the destruction!
Must re-evalutate!
A blast from the past!
Has unsettled all!

Vulgar Abbot!
A bastard many love!

Vulgar Abbot!
Mad Monk!
We Salute thee!
Well done!
Mad Monk!
Well done!

Though he swore it wouldn't be!
Underdog!
What an underhanded tactic!
Mad Monk!
Unstable bet!
But Coalition made it!
None and less!

Hardly an eye did blink #Australia

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Hardly an eye did blink,
And hardly a voice was heard!

And another Catholic organisation left,
From selfish selflessness,
It became political-

But for its own interests-
Not those of nation or church!

And the world heard it,
As it said the words,
It hoped would pay!

Another Catholic organisation,
In Australia!

What a coup de tat,
What wonderment-

To prop up whom was falling!
To lift up, for promises,

From an unpopular people!

Unless church should aim at moral interests-
Perhaps, it should be better-
To separate-

Church charities,
And states!

An inquiry of fact

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Israel and the neighbours assembled!
Called not by battle horn!
Though both sides were blowing them!

Israel will find it legal- the raid!
Turkey will cry- plain murder!
That the activist said they were to be martyrs-
To Turkish papers!
Makes their deaths- intended more special!

Or so?

Two sides, and two verdicts!
Both sides will benefit themselves!

Let justice be done if the heavens fall!
Unless the people elected!

Fire and smoke

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Sounds- rain?
And a cloud- but not wet!
Not soft! Not nice!

Acidic on the skins of men,
Women, children, and animals!

Death hit Moscow! Russia as well!

But hardly does the world care?
Do we mind if it is not near!

What should make the "apathetic" care!
What should the share?

Or is ignorance best?
Or is that only in jest?

None the less! People die!
Sometimes more- due to bliss!

Tempting rocks

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Was simple enough, simply say no!
But simple is never simple!
Not when the pride and ego have a way!

She took the resource and sold her soul-
Even if she gave it to a man who clung to it so many years!

Odd- how useful charity is-

She broke the law if she accepted them-
Here and a abroad!

But who can resist a dictator's charms?
Surely wasn't her!

A few rocks she says-
Pebbles really!

Really we are foolish!
What is more sensual than a man!

Who allegedly mutilates
his peoples?

Or so one may suppose!
If the media's at all correct!

Surely though! Whatever your colour!
You forsook Africa long long ago!

And left us in the dark-
Your career meaning all!

Or perhaps the talkers are wrong?
Maybe you are more than looks!

Not much appeal to me-
Quite flashy- not ostentatious!
